Akiesha M. Foster: Procurement Specialist & VA Certified Counselor

 

Akiesha M. Foster currently serves as a Maryland APEX Accelerator Procurement Specialist.  Akiesha is a new member of the team, and she is based in College Park.  Akiesha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from Liberty University and is pursuing a Master's degree in Procurement Acquisition Management from Webster University. She also is DAWIA Level III certified in Contracting and a member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP). 
 

Army Reserve:
She is an experienced Senior Contract Specialist (51C) with over 19 years in Logistics and contracting.  The assignment includes working for the Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and is currently serving as the Sergeant Major for Army Material Command- Army Reserve Element (AMC-ARE).  These assignments have given her the leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and management skills to assist small businesses in participating in the Government Marketplace.

Small Business Owner:
As a small business owner of KeyToLife Professional Services LLC (KTL), a boutique consulting company, Akiesha has helped solo entrepreneurs, veterans, and small businesses to start, run and grow their businesses starting as a subcontractor.  KTL's area of expertise is business planning, business development, and proposal management.  She also serves as a liaison on behalf of her clients with teaming partners, prime contractors, and agencies.
